2012 CARA NORD “Negre” Conca de Barbera

This is a blend of 42% Grenache, 38% Syrah and 20% Garrut (this is a rare native varietal from the Priorat). A full bouquet of dark berry fruit, kirsch, roasted herbs and fresh floral notes, very well endowed bouquet of aromas fresh berry pie fruit very forward but also has a host of spcie and floral notes, nice complexity on the nose. Very fruity on the tongue with fine tannins and a host of that roasted herb and floral nuance from the nose through the finish, long and layered with a note of graphite/mineral at the end.
