2005 Domaine de Courcel Les Fremiers Pommard Premier Cru

A very fresh and densely fruited ripe red berry nose complements perfectly the rich, full and intense flavors that are robust, sleekly muscled and built on a base of minerality. While this is clearly a Pommard in basic character, it's also a Pommard with refinement and class and I very much admire the underlying sense of balance and quiet harmony. In a word, terrific.
