2017 CABERNET SAUVIGNON HORSE HEAVEN HILLS

Chris Peterson Tasting note - notes of blackberry, blueberry cobbler,

cassis, woodsmoke, licorice pastille, and meadow flowers are very

inviting. The palate is taut and structured, featuring dark red and black

fruits, great minerality, and lively acidity. The finish on this wine is very

long and focused, with lingering floral and light oak elements. This wine

will reward short term cellaring, and last for a decade plus in the cellar.

(95 Points) Deep purple/plum-colored, with notes of tobacco leaf, damp earth,

chocolate, and assorted darker fruits, it hits the palate with medium to

full-bodied richness, a rounded, supple texture, polished tannins, and

a great finish. It’s beautifully done and shows the more classic, elegant

style of the vintage nicely. Jeb Dunnuck (04.15.20)

(94 Points) Polished and finely detailed, this red is impressive, featuring rich black

cherry, cofee bean and stony mineral flavors that build tension toward

fine-grained tannins. Drink now through 2029. Wine Spectator (Tim Fish | Spring 2020)
