1968 Bertani Amarone della Valpolicella

Good vintage. Spring rainfall in the average. In july and august typical temperature of this period with few rain that allowed a good ripening of the grape. September was dry and october fair.

Wine refined in bottle for 20 years. Quite intense garnet red with hues of brick red. At the nose flavours of medlar, dry figs and truffle; it has great complexity and aromatic persistence. The mouth is very mature, with sweet tannins, full and elegant, with clean lasting taste. This wine has clear characteristics of longevity, and it can be drink also in a lot of years.
