2022 Freemark Abbey Cabernet Sauvignon Sycamore Vineyard Napa 750ml

This historic vineyard source—still owned by one of the winery's original partners—is located across Bella Oaks Drive from Staglin, tucked back close to the Mayacamas Range, which gives it a bit of afternoon shade. A blend of 91% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Petit Verdot and 1% Cabernet Franc, the 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon Sycamore Vineyard showcases ripe black cherries, with hints of sage and bay. The 64% new French oak seems less noticeable than in the other single-vineyard bottlings, despite it being pretty much the same across the range. It's full-bodied, rich and velvety in feel and long and ripe on the lingering finish.
