The long, mild growing season that year, capped off by a warming trend, created concentrated fruit flavors in the final blend. One smooth sip reveals dark cherry notes, reminiscent of a dark chocolate-cherry truffle, yet not sweet. Resisting a second glass is nearly impossible as the 2002 vintage is drinking perfectly now.
