(Wine Searcher Editorial) Les Macherelles is a Chassagne-Montrachet Premier Cru vineyard in the Côte de Beaune region of Burgundy. Most of the wines made from fruit grown in this five-hectare (12.5-acre) property are Chardonnays, though a small amount of Pinot Noir is also present. The vineyard runs right up to the buildings at the north of the the village. Though nominally east-facing, it lies on one of the flattest areas within the belt of Premier Crus.
