Monthélie "Les Sous Roches" Blanc is a rare and highly regarded French white wine from the Monthélie AOC in the Côte de Beaune region of Burgundy. Known as a close cousin to neighboring Meursault, white Monthélie wines represent less than 5% of the appellation's total production, making this particular Chardonnay expression quite unique.
"Les Sous Roches" sits at the top of a very steep, east-facing hill right beneath a rocky limestone bank. The name literally translates to "under the rocks".
