(94 Points) Domaine Michel’s Vieilles Vignes bottling of Butteaux is made from vines that are closing in on seventy years of age, as these vines were planted in 1955! The 2023 version is outstanding, offering up a pure and complex aromatic constellation of lime, pear, green apple, a lovely foundation of chalky soil tones, fruit blossoms and a touch of anise in the upper register. On the palate the wine is full-bodied, complex, mineral-driven and shows off beautiful depth of fruit in the mid-palate. The finish is long, zesty and impeccably balanced. Fine, fine juice. (Drink between 2028-2055). John Gilman, Review Date: 01/2025
