(90-91 points) Hints of white truffle and nettle along with intimations of fresh grapefruit and white peach in the nose of Michels’ 2012 Chablis Vaudesir – tasted from tank – introduce a luscious and expansive yet zesty and refreshingly juicy palate featuring, unsurprisingly, riper fruit character than found in the corresponding range of premier crus, but finishing with slightly less verve, clarity, or mineral diversity than did the best of those. This might well gain significantly with time in bottle, but I would tentatively plan to savor it by 2022.
