2010 Domaine Francois Gaunoux Meursault Le Goutte D Or 1er Cru

A great vintage for both whites and reds in the Cotes de Beaune and Cotes de Nuits, this wine shows lovely richness on the nose with a nice hand of smoky flinty mineral character here, ripe citrus fruit, a bit of caramel showing some maturity but still quite fresh.  Very rich and layered on the tongue, slightly oily texture, creamy with a long finish, lovely maturity with a long mineral laced finish, this wine is drinking at or near its peak but should last for another decade or more in your cellar.  Finish 50+  Most Excellent
