From Walla Walla Christophe Baron is consulting winemaker, Cayuse fame, big rocks here in the vineyard. A more earthy and savory style, dark earth and that rocky terroir showing through the dark plum and a barnyard, animal, leathery notes. Lots of fresh earth showing through on the palate also very herbal with dark earth and animal notes to the dark plum and blackberry fruit. A very distinct wine with more and more nuance coming out as the wine opens pretty floral notes coming out at the end but very complex and layered with excellent freshness and a long finish, smoke and pepper spice. Finish 40 + Most Excellent
