2013 Lucente Lavite Toscana

The vines are getting older and Lamberto Frescobaldi has been making the wine since day one 75% Merlot and 25% Sangiovese, three type of barrique including some American Oak, this wine has a beautiful bouquet with lots of dark plum and cherry fruit with pretty floral notes and some fresh earth. A big and smooth wine with a plush texture on the tongue with a solid core of fruit, smooth with nice balance and freshness with all that nuance earth, flowers and spice through the finish. Finish 40+ Only 250,000 bottles produced form their 60 hectare vineyard, will be certified organic next year. Excellent
