2011 Ribbia al Colle Le Pulledre Toscana

Young female horses? That is what the wine is named after? This wine is a blend of Cabernet Sauvgnon, Sangiovese,Cilieogiolo and Petite Verdot vinified each varietal separatley some in wood and some in stainless. They then blend these and put into French barrique then a selection of the best barrique with 20% in each wine. This wine has a very intense bouquet of dark currant and sweet tobacco spice, black pepper spice, licorice notes and some wild herbs here that signature of Tuscany. Only 6000 bottles produced this is the second vintage. a good amount of ripe berry and plum fruit with a good amount of ripe round tannins and a nice frehness to the finish despite the size here quite large.
