This wine is a blend of Syrah 60%, Grenache 37% and Viognier 3%, thus would emulate the wines of the Northern Rhone. A very rich and densely packed wine on the nose, dark plum and dried black cherry fruit, very intense with some animal savage like aromas, dark spices, coco and fine herbs, sage, ever evolving bouquet with lots of everything; fruit, earth, and exotic spices in the bouquet. Wow a big and chewy wine on the palate with lots of dark berry and plum fruit along with a host of dark spices and fresh black earth and that distinct minerality showing though, dark mocha and a bit of that animal nuance on the finish.
