2022 Domaine Lucien Boillot & Fils Bourgogne Rouge

Crafted from a harmonious blend of Burgundy’s finest terroirs, this exceptional cuvée marries the power and structure of Gevrey-Chambertin (2/3) with the elegance of Volnay (1/3). Every step of its creation honors the fruit: from a meticulous de-stemming and a 3 to 5-day cold soak that coaxes out vibrant color and aroma, to a completely natural 18 to 21-day fermentation with twice-daily punch-downs for rich texture. Patiently aged for up to 18 months in French oak—using a maximum of 30% new barrels to ensure the wood never overpowers the fruit—the wine is ultimately bottled directly at the domaine without fining or filtering. The result is a pure, uncompromised, and deeply authentic expression of classic Burgundy craftsmanship.
