2021 Quinta de Chocapalha CH Touriga Nacional Douro

(93 Points) The 2021 CH Tinto, a pure Touriga Nacional, is serious and austere. It has notes of herbs, flowers and wild berries, with some balsamic notes and more complexity than your average Touriga, much more than the 2020 I tasted next to it. It has contained ripeness, with 13.5% alcohol, and a medium-bodied palate with very good freshness and balance. It matured in French oak barrels for 22 months.  Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
