2020 Occidental-Kistler Vineyards 'Cuvee Catherine' Running Fence Vineyard Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast

The 2020 Running Fence Vineyard Cuvee Catherine is medium ruby-purple in color. It needs a little coaxing to bring out notes of tar, crushed rocks, and iron ore, leading to a core of black and red cherries, mulberries, and tilled soil plus a touch of lavender. The medium-bodied palate has wonderful tension and firm, exquisitely fine-grained tannins framing the bright, crunchy, energetic red and black fruit layers, finishing long and savory.
