91 POINTS -Antonio Galloni Coming from the Occidental Ridge in the Sonoma Coast AVA, this wine showcases the dark notes, gorgeous fruit, and floral notes telling of its ridge top coastal location which is bathed in plentiful sunlight. The nose exhibits layers of black cherry, blackberry, cedar and forest floor, with fresh flowering aromatic herbs, cardamom, and a note of mandarin oil. This is a sizable wine, broadening on the palate with depth and richness. However, its freshness and lovely floral notes keep it light on its feet. This is a beautiful, complex wine with great evolution and length, easily enjoyable now, or will also reward those who prefer a wine with a few years under its belt. Walala Vineyard; Sonoma Coast Barrel aged 17 months in 100% French Burgundian Oak; 50% new. Unfiltered Alcohol: 13.9% Release date: February 2017 Winemaker: Helen Keplinger
