The Superiore version of Castello di Neive's Barbera d'Alba is only produced in the best vintages and represents a selection of the best Barbera grapes from their Marcorino vineyard.
Constant control of the fermentation temperature and automatic pumping-over system. Maceration occurs for about 10 days, after that the wine is racked and transferred into the historic cellar within the Castle. Aged for 12 months in a combination of new and used barriques.
Intense and complex, with notes of ripe red berries, spices, a hint of cocoa, and Langhe hazelnut nuances. Great acidity and well-integrated oak lead to great structure and a long finish.
