2014 Ettore Germano Barolo Serralunga D'Alba

This is their flagship Barolo and they make around 30,000 bottles. They own four single vineyards in Serralunga and they do a selection of those four to make this wine and this wine is a village wine with a classic bouqueut of red cherry, fresh truffle like earth, dried rose petals and they do 20 days of maceration and then 24 months in large and smaller oak all older nothing new.  Soft and smooth on the tongue with a good amount of nuance, this is a classic style of Barolo very approachable vintage from Barolo, a nice touch of spcie and pretty floral notes through the finish.  Finish 40+ Excellent +
