A blend of 65% Nebbiolo, 20% Vespolina and 15% Croatina from the northern most region of the Piedmont, this family also owns Isole et Olena in Tuscany, red cherry liqueur like fruit, very rich and sweet fruit here with pretty floral notes and red licorice spice, truffle like earthy notes very classic style and a full bouquet of aromas. Very rich on the tongue with smooth and silky texture, has some tannins at the end but plenty of red cherry berry fruit to match and a lot of that spice and nuace from the nose through the finish, nice length and excellent structure this wine should be around for a decade or more in your cellar.
