This is Guido Folanari's property in La Morra this wine is named after a French lady that was promoting Italian wines in the 18th century. This wine has a very complex bouquet of fresh plowed dark earth, black truffle, this wine comes from the oldest vines on the estate over 30 years oaked for 16 months and you get some of that toasty oak spice and bitter coco notes along with a good amount of dark spice, truffle earthy notes. A big and chewy Barbera with layers of dark earth and spices through the finish, this wine has wonderful concentration and a firm hand of acidity holding things together leading me to believe that this will age for another decade in your cellar. Finish 45+ Excellent +
