2011 Esporao Assobio Douro

A blend of Tinta Roriz, Touriga Franca, Touriga Nacional, the name of this wine refers to the high winds, or whistling sound that they make. Has a very earthy bouquet fresh black earth and tobacco spice, black spices, coco, dark chocolate and espresso notes. A refreshing red even though it has a big nose the texture is light and smooth on the tongue and there is a good amount of dark and red berry fruit but also has a refreshing light finish, somehat surprsing but lovely balance, still quite fresh on the second day.
