2009 Morgante Don Antonio Nero D'Avola Sicily

The first vintage of this wine was 1998 and Ricardo Cotarella makes this wine it is 100% varietal, a good amount of dark berry fruit almost sundried quality with light smoky beefy notes to the bouquet, nice complexity, dark spices, mocha. Big and chewy on the tongue with lots of dark berry fruit very well endowed on the tongue with lots of tannins but ripe and round with an array of dark spices, game and black earthy notes through the finish, mocha and coco and more, very long layered finish. finish 50+ Most Excellent
