(89-90 points) Boucard’s 2009 Bourgueil Cuvee Vieilles Vignes – which I tasted as a tank sample –bursts with aromas and tart, palate-staining flavors of fresh blackberry and cassis, allied to bittersweet herbal concentrate; iodine- and salt-tinged shrimp shell reduction; and toasted hickory and walnut.
