(91 points) Coming from the Uco Valley in Argentina, the 2018 Southern Sojourn is 75% Malbec and 25% Cabernet Sauvignon that was brought up all in new barrels. It has a lifted bouquet of blueberries, ripe plums, candied violets, and bouquet garni. This gives way to a medium to full-bodied, ripe, sexy Malbec with sweet tannins, a round, exotic character, and outstanding length. I’m sure the volatile acidity is on the upper threshold, yet this holds it together and is a beautiful drink. Enjoy bottles over the coming 5-6 years. -Jeb Dunnuck.
