2013 Van Duzer Pinot Gris Estate Willamette Valley

This winery is named after the corridor that brings cool air from the pacific into the valley. They just hired a new winemaker Florent Merlier and his has brought the whites up a few notches. Has a very rich, well endowed bouquet of pear and apple fruit very fresh with an array of white flowers and minerality. They are only 10,000 cases at the moment and they can make 20,000 total, everything is estate grown and they are buying another vineyard so they will be adding some fruit to the blend in 2012 to get to around 30,000 cases total in the future. A good amount of juicy tree fruit on the tongue with lovley freshness and a good amount of that perfumed floral nuance through the finish, tongue tingly minerality through the finish.
