2016 Los Vascos Le Dix Colchagua Valley

A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon ( more than 85%), Syrah and Carmenère. In commemoration of 10 years of DBR (Lafite)’s work in Chile, the first “grande cuvée” LE DIX was created. Le Dix de Los Vascos originates from 70-year-old vines located in the terroir known as “El Fraile. This wine has a very complex bouquet of dark earth, mocha, coffee and dark currant and dark cherry fruit. Big and chewy on the tongue with a good amount of tannins here, this wine needs some time but has wonderful concentration and depth with toasty oak spice, bittersweet chocolate and espresso, very young with a long layered finish, this wine has it all and more I would like to see it in 10-15 years.
