1989 was the first vintage they produced in here but they first made the move to Mendoza in 1985, making an attempt to plant their native Corvina varietal with the help of Bodegas Norton as their partner at first. Today, they are in Washington State, South Africa and Israel with the Corvina varietal with the appesimento style of drying these grapes to see what happens. For instance in Argentina it takes a shorter time to get the dryness level required than in the Veneto. It is 2 months as opposed to three and this wine is a blend of 70% Malbec and 30% Corvina, it is made the same way that they make an Amarone, has a distinct black earth of the Mendoza region but the dried fruit plum and cherry of the Amarone, notes of brown spice also in the nose. A smooth and easy drinking wine with nice fruit and some dark spice and black earth. Finish 30+ Very Good
