2023 Walter Scott Chardonnay Combe Verte Willamette Valley

(17-20) Fruit sourced from: Freedom Hill, Hyland, Koosah, Sojeau and Witness Tree vineyards. Gently crushed and then pressed in a bladder press. Fermented with ambient yeasts in 350-litre and 500-litre barrels (25% new) and aged for 8 months with minimal bâtonnage. 100% malolactic conversion. Finished for 2 months in a stainless-steel tank. Pale lemon green. Wet stone, apple blossom and a kiss of flint. Lean, fresh acidity and a hint of spice to the finish. 17+/20.  Jancis Robinson, Review Date: N/A
