2021 Clos Pegase Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley

A blend of 83% Cabernet, 15% Merlot and a bit of Petite Verdot and Malbec. A very cool year and this wine shows that on the nose a bit reserved in the fruit department with dark currant and cherry fruit, notes of fresh plowed earth/loam, tobacco spice and dark chocolate, opening up nicely on the second day. A big and chewy wine on the tongue with firm tannins, a good hand of acidity and a long finish, tobacco spice and loamy earthto the end, this wine is well built it just needs time, showing even better on the second day.
