2019 REALM CELLARS BECKSTOFFER BOURN CABERNET SAUVIGNON NAPA

(97 Points) The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Bourn Vineyard is dark, sumptuous and inviting, with no hard edges, stunning balance and tons of sheer allure. Silky contours make it one of the most accessible wines in the lineup of 2019s. Here the fruit profile tends towards the more blue/purplish end of the spectrum. Bittersweet chocolate, cloves and lavender add gravitas. The 2019 is positively stellar. The blend is 93% Cabernet Sauvignon and 7% Petite Sirah. A drop in Petite Sirah and increasing age in the replanted Cabernet at Bourn yielded a wine that is quite suave and sumptuous compared to its predecessors. (AG)  Vinous, Review Date: 08/2021
