2014 Buoncristiani Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley

Their 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon, which is 94% Cabernet Sauvignon and 6% Malbec (437 cases), is a stunner. Super-opaque purple in color, this cuvée is provocative and world-class. Inky purple in color, with crème de cassis, blackberry, espresso, graphite and a touch of oak, the wine is full-bodied, extremely rich and pure with wonderfully integrated acidity, tannin and alcohol. The finish goes on for 50+ seconds. This is a killer wine and a great 2014 that is capable of lasting 25-30 or more years for those with patience. (RP)   Review Date: 12/2016
