2013 Devil Proof Farrow Ranch Malbec Alexander Valley

Aging the wine in 100% French oak has produced a 2013 Malbec that certainly ranks as one of the top Malbecs I have ever tasted in California. Loads of espresso, blueberry liqueur, and chocolate jump from the glass of this opaque purple-colored wine. Medium-bodied, it displays good elegance and sweet tannin in a forward, approachable and seductive style. (RP)    Review Date: 03/2016
