2009 Mayacamas Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon Mount Veeder

A vintage that shows the restrained and sometimes hidden power of Mount Veeder Cabernet. The nose is initially reticent and understated, giving off subtle notes of blackberry and espresso, but after time in the glass it opens up to reveal a vibrant, gritty core. Beautiful and classically Mayacamas in style, but built to go the distance. You can drink it now, but best left for at least another five years. (ML)   Review Date: 03/2020
