2022 Chateau Lafitte Cotes de Bordeaux

Sixteen months of aging in barrels for this red marked by Merlot (80%).  Adorned with a deep color, it reveals a charming, ripe, skillfully woody nose, with frank notes of slightly candied black fruits. A full attack opens onto a mouth Gironde, sunny, supported by ripe and liquorice tannins. All carried by a freshness not always present in 2022. Complete, harmonious, with good keeping potential, it is an indisputable success.
