2023 Weingut Franz Hirtzberger Hochrain Riesling Smaragd Wachau, Austria
Hochrain is located just below Singerriedel and the Hirtzberger's small apricot orchard. The soil type is dominated by a weathered rock overlaid with a fine layer of sandy loam. This particular terroir produces a Riesling with intense minerality, flavors of stone fruits and a profound bouquet of fresh, sunkissed apricots.
