2007 Quintarelli Alzero

Another incredibly rare wine from Italy, the Alzero is made from primarily Cabernet Franc with small amounts of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. This wine is made by using the same method as Amarone (appassimento) and like the Amarone is Port-like in its richness, density and alcohol. This wine is KILLER- big and rich but still very well balanced, an over the top style but still with grace and elegance.
