2015 Peay Chardonnay Sonoma Coast

Vanessa Wong is the winemaker here and has been since day one she is a peay now and they have 51 acres mostly Pinot Noir.  This is the coldest region of the Sonoma Coast north of the Fort Ross Sea View AVA and this wine like all of the peay wines has a strong sence of place 5500 cases and this is 550 of them.  Beautiful bouquet wtih lots of ripe fruit here for such a cold ava lemon drop candy with a distinct minerality you notice the proximaty to the sea here on the nose.  William and Seylem do a Peay Vineyard.  A very rich and well endowed but not over done wonderful fruit here, lemon drop candy with a nice hand of toasty oak spice, a long finish lengthened but this tongue tingly minerality and bright fresh acidity.  Finish 45+
