2014 Rudd Sauvignon Blanc Mount Veeder Napa

Leslie bought property in 1996 the old Girard winery and 55 acres 47 are planted, this is an 88 acre property with 14 acres only 350 cases of Sauvignon Blanc, the do a Semillon blend but only in exceptional vintages. 1700 foot elevation and they get warmerdays and cooler nights bob cats, rattles snakes, concrete eggs and a bit of new oak here a bit of Semillon in the blend. This wine has a concentrated bouquet of grapefruit candy, a bit of a musky herbal note here with more coming out as the wine opens. A very rich and vicsous wine on the tongue with a solid core of tree fruits, tongue tingly acidity and a long layeed finish. Finish 50+ Most Excellent
