2012 Yangarra Grenache Mclaren Vale

The Grenache here is made from 68 year old bush vines, Peter Frazier is still the winemaker here and this wine has a beautiful bouquet with jammy black raspberry coulis like fruit, black licorice and black tea like spices, along with pretty floral perfume notes, very intense. Zesty blackberry fruit on the tongue with a thick chewy/jammy nature but still has good freshness and balance but balanced wine with licorice, sweet herbs and a long finish, this wine needs a bit of time.
