2012 Yamhill Valley Pinot Noir Estate Willamette Valley

A great vintage really perfect in terms of ripening season from bud break through to harvest, warm but not too hot, 2014 looks to be one of the best vintages this century, 2013 very delicate year. They do some whole cluster and some destemming but minimal intervention, they also use some Oregon oak here. This wine has a good amount of ripe cherry and strawberry fruit with notes of slight smoke, fresh mint and fresh earth notes on the nose. Smooth and silky texture on the tongue, with a good hand of brown spice, mint along with a nice zest and freshness to the finish. Finish 40+ Excellent
