2012 Capezzana Monna Nera

This has a bit of all the grapes they produce on the property and this was one of the owners of the properyt 600 years ago, this is one of the oldest wineries in Italy dating back to 804 AD. Mona bought the property in 1475, this wine that is dedicated to here is a blend of Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah. This wine has a good amount of dark cherry and currant berry fruit with some fresh plowed black earth, dried smoked meats and sweet herbs. A very smooth wine on the tongue iwth a nice amount of ripe black cherry fruit, nice freshness with some of that earthy nuance from the nose through the finish. Finish 30+ Very Good
