2012 BK Wines chardonnay Adelade Hills

MV 6 clone of Chardonnay vineyard planted in 1995, 12 months of oak, 30% New, Branden Keys worked with Paul Hobbs, this Chardonnay is at 1600 foot elevation, picks based on acidity. The nose is very complex, very Burgundian, a nice hint of toasty oak spice, matchstick, and a good amount of fruit, lemon zest, fresh apple, flinty mineral notes. A very zesty style with that matchstix/flinty mineral note through the finish, this wine is very reminescent to me of a Meursalt with a good amount of ripe tree fruit, apples, lemon zest and a long mineral laced/tongue tingly finish.
