2011 Michel Gassier Lou Coucardie

The 60% Mourvedre 30% grenache and 10% Syrah is one of the original grapes from this region and they have deep soils which are perfect for this varietal, 50% whole cluster, bot powerful but fresh and balance this name is named after the bull's horn. A good amount of dark berry fruit, some of that animal and violet dried herbs and flowers nice complexity here on the nose and this wine has 15.5% alcohol so a bit large. A good amount of dark berry fruit and dark spices on the nose with a bit of that animal nuance coming through but very nicely balanced with ripe fruit, smooth silky tannins and nice freshness through the finish, a big but balanced wine with lots of everything. Finish 45+ Most Excellent
