2011 Cupani Aglianico Beneventano

A good amount of bright blackberry fruit, violet floral notes and a rustic nuance to the nose, fresh plowed black earth, a bit of an animal note. A smooth and easy drinking wine with some of the that earth coming through on the finish but fairly light, a good example of an entry level wine from this region and that dryness of Aglianico comes in at the end a bit.
