2011 Catena Alta Historic Rows Cabernet Sauvignon Mendoza

This wine is a blend of 88% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Cabernet Franc from their Cabernet Sauvignon vineyards in Agrelo and Tupungato, particularly for their ageability and classic flavors. Catena Alta Cabernet Sauvignon is sourced from Block 3 of the La Pirámide vineyard, Block 2 of the Domingo vineyard and Block 2 of the Nicasia Vineyard. Elevage: 18 months in French oak barrels. Red and black currant berry fruit on the nose with notes of fresh earth, fine herbs and cigar box spice on the nose. A very fresh and elegant style of Cabernet Sauvignon with a solid core of fruit and that zesty spice and earth notes from the nose through the finish. This wine has wonderful balance and will age for up to a decade or more in your cellar, open it and decanter it for a few hours if you are going to drink it tonight. Finish 45+ Excellent
