2010 Villa Calcinaia Chianti Classico
This is from older vines and has 10% Canaioli in the blend, a good amount of ripe red plum and wild strawberry like fruit, pretty floral, sage, herbs notes on the nose. Total production is 9000 cases. Nicely structured on the tongue with a good hand of light berry and plum fruit with a firm hand of acidity and some dry tannins on the finish along with that pretty floral and herbs from the nose on the finish, nice freshness and length on the finish. Finish 40+ Excellent
