2010 Palmaz Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon Napa

A blend of 97% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Petit Verdot and this wine aged for 19 months in New French Oak 85% and produced 1684 cases a cooler vintage vintage with distinct herbal nuance to the red currant and black cherry fruit with coffee and fresh earth, a bit higher in acidity. A very well built wine on the tongue still with a firm hand of tannins, but has layers of dark berry and currant fruit along with a firm hand of acidtiy holding things together, this wine needs time with a long layered finish and is even better on the second day, the 2010 vintage is a year that needs a bit of time to come around but has all the right stuff.
